Maureen Petrosky
Maureen C. Petrosky is a professional
chef, author and Lifestyle expert. Since 2001, Maureen has made regular
television appearances as a food and wine expert, appearing numerous times on
NBC's the TODAY Show, CNN, CNN Headline News, FOX News Channel, the Food
Network among others, representing her own projects as well as appearing
as an on-air spokesperson for Better Homes and Gardens, and as a
Contributing Editor for Bon Appetit magazine. Most recently, Maureen
has appeared as a judge for Food Network's Iron Chef America. Maureen
has also been featured on numerous radio programs and is the featured wine
expert for A Chef's Table on National Public Radio.
Maureen recently completed her first solo lifestyle book The
Wine Club, A Month-by-Month Guide to Learning About Wine with Friends. The
book includes her best recipes as well as wine and entertainment tips. Maureen
will discuss her book at the event, and will have copies of the book available
for sale and signing. She has also contributed as a freelance writer
covering food, wine, travel and restaurant criticism for CNN Interactive,
Bon Appetit, Wiesner Publication, vinesugar.com, vino.com, Newcomer Magazine,
and The Wine Report. Currently, she has a regular wine column in
NJ Life Magazine and most recently has been writing for Scripps
Network's FoodNetwork.com and FineLiving.com. Maureen
began her television career in the roles of Executive Chef, Culinary Producer
and Food Stylist on several Food Network shows including Good Eats, Cooking
Thin, Cooking Live, Emeril Live, East Meets West, Taste, Chef du Jour, Hot Off
the Grill, Boy Meets Grill, Cooking with Wolfgang Puck, and
Semi-Homemade with Sandra Lee. Maureen works as a Culinary
Arts and Wine Instructor and has been a guest lecturer at the Culinary
Institute of America, Greystone, in California's Napa Valley, the
Epicurean Classic in Traverse City, Michigan, and most recently as the
opening speaker for the Canola Oil Council in New York City.
Throughout her culinary arts and wine career, Maureen has been recognized by
Disney, Inc., Food and Wine Magazine, The California Vintners Association,
and named the first Female Chef Extraordinaire by the
international organization Les Marnitons. Maureen is also a member of
the New York chapter of the highly prestigious Les Dames d'Escoffier
International. Maureen holds a certification from the Master Court of
Sommeliers and also completed the Sterling School of Spirits.
She is a graduate of Villanova University and The Culinary Institute of
America. She resides in Bucks County, PA. |
